GLOBAL DISTINCTION FOR TITAN GROUP

Titan Group was ranked number 1 in Europe and 8th in the world for 2009 in the prestigious “Top Company for Leaders” study, receiving an honoring global distinction regarding the development of human capital and leadership competencies.

This ranking is the outcome of one of the most comprehensive study of organizational leadership in the world, conducted by Hewitt Associates, the well known global consulting and outsourcing company, in partnership with The RBL Group – a strategic HR and leadership systems advisory firm founded by Norm Smallwood & Dave Ulrich, one of The World’s Top 50 Business Thinkers – and Fortune magazine.

More than 500 global companies were surveyed this year in search of the top businesses at attracting, retaining, and nurturing talent. An expert panel of independent judges selected and ranked winners based on criteria including strength and depth of leadership practices, culture, examples of developing world class leaders, business performance and company reputation.

When analyzing the study results, one distinguishing characteristic was identified that sets “Top Companies for Leaders” apart from others. Even during the economic downturn, companies indeed remained committed to building leadership capability within the organization, without losing focus.

“Leadership is not generic and interchangeable” says CEO Dimitri Papalexopoulos. “We invest the effort to tailor our people development practices to the competences we need as well as to our values and our desired leadership principles. It has often been said that a crisis is a terrible thing to waste. The current financial crisis can be viewed as an opportunity to enrich managers’ leadership skills”.

As the study shows, “Top Companies for Leaders” prioritize leadership practices, which are incorporated in their business strategy. All European Top Companies for Leaders verify that investing in leadership practices is the only correct business choice, in contrast to 71% of the other companies. This distinction makes us proud and at the same time keeps us even more alert, in order to address and further improve future leadership issues.

The official announcement has been made in the November 19th, 2009 web FORTUNE publication in the following links and is also to be featured in the December issue.
