This privacy notice informs you in accordance with Regulation EU 2016/679 (“GDPR”) about the collection and processing of your personal data when you send us your resume through our website www.titan-cement.com of TITAN Cement International S.A., the mother company of TITAN Group (“TITAN” or “we”).  This notice is subject to change.  We, thus, encourage you to review this notice regularly.

1. Who is the controller of your personal data?

The controller of your personal data is the TITAN entity in the European Economic Area (EEA) country you have selected to send your resume.  The TITAN entities that are personal data controllers in that respect are listed in the table below.

2. What personal data are collected and processed?

We collect and process the personal data you provide to us when you send us your resume and related documents of your choice. The personal data we collect and processed involve names, addresses, contact details, data on education and professional experience, interests, ambitions and expectations, and other relevant data customarily included in a resume and supporting documents. During the assessment of your candidacy you may be asked to provide certain medical information depending on the nature of the job that you have applied for.

3. Which sources do we use to collect your personal data?

 We collect personal data directly from you.  We may collect personal data from third parties of your choice (e.g. previous employers, professors, colleagues) only upon your consent.

4. For which purposes are your personal data processed?

Your personal data will be processed solely for purposes of assessing the possibility of employment with a TITAN company in the country(-ies) of your choice. In particular, we will assess your skills, qualifications, educational and professional background, and any other relevant information provided by you.  We will use your contact details to request from you clarifications and additional information, arrange an interview with you, update you on the status of your application for employment and inform you about career opportunities with a TITAN company. In addition, your personal data will be processed where a TITAN company needs to comply with its legal or regulatory obligations (e.g., reporting to the authorities) or to pursue its legitimate interests (e.g., establish, exercise or defend its legal rights).  Your personal data will also be processed through TITAN’s IT systems hosted either internally or externally.  Your personal data will not be subject to any automated decision-making or profiling.

5. On what legal basis do we process personal data?

The legal basis of processing your personal data is your consent, which is presumed by your sending us your resume voluntarily.  However, if you do not provide us your personal data and your consent to process them, we will not be allowed to consider your application for employment.  You have the right to withdraw your consent regarding further processing of your personal data at any time by sending an email at dataprotection@titan-cement.com.  Withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any previous processing and does not preclude TITAN from processing your personal data on other legal bases such as compliance with legal obligations and/or pursuit of its legitimate interests as described in section 4 above.

6. Who may be the recipients of your personal data?

Your personal data will be processed by authorized personnel in TITAN’s Human Resources department and/or other departments/functions involved each time in the selection of candidates in the country(-ies) you have selected. Moreover, if necessary and/or instrumental to the achievement of the above purposes, your personal data will be processed by suppliers performing recruiting services, and IT support, management and maintenance activities, which shall act as data processors on behalf of TITAN subject to strict confidentiality and data protection contractual clauses.

7. Will personal data be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA)?

Your personal data will remain in Greece or in the EEA country of your choice.  If you wish to be considered for employment by a TITAN entity outside the EEA, we will transfer your personal data to the respective country.  TITAN is present in countries both inside and outside the EEA.  Please note that not all countries outside the EEA ensure an adequate level of data protection.  For more information about the transfer of your personal data to third countries outside the EEA please read the privacy notice.

8. How will your personal data be secured?

9. How long do we retain personal data?

Your personal data will be maintained as long as necessary to evaluate your candidacy for employment and in any case no longer than 12 months from receipt of your resume unless a different retention period is legally required.  Subsequently, we will delete your personal data from our electronic and paper records.  In case of a potential legal dispute with you, we will keep your personal data for as long as necessary to defend our rights.
