In April 2020, Bulgaria’s hospitals found themselves in a critical situation to meet the increasing daily number of patients diagnosed with Covid-19.
Zlatna Panega, TITAN Bulgaria’s cement plant, employs people from Pleven, a province that then had 37 confirmed cases, a figure that generated concern locally as it was one of the highest in the country.
Recognizing the increased need for medical equipment, TITAN Bulgaria donated a new anesthesia and respiratory device to the Dr. Georgi Stranski University Hospital in Pleven. The device, housed in the specialized coronavirus treatment unit, can be used for a number of timely treatments, including on patients with pulmonary diseases and Covid-19.
In this way, TITAN Bulgaria has demonstrated its support for the local community and expressed its gratitude to the doctors and medical staff for their courage and dedication in fighting the epidemic.
