TITAN AMONG WINNERS IN EUROPEAN BEST WORKPLACES COMPETITION

For the second year running Titan has secured a place among the hundred best European companies in a competition run by the European Union to identify the companies within the member states which provide the best working conditions for their employees. The award was accepted on behalf of the Group by Public Relations Manager Spyros Xenos at a special ceremony in London on 27 April.

The EU is anxious to highlight the need for good working conditions across the Union; it organized this competition to single out those companies which provide an excellent working environment and employ the best practices in their relations with their workforce. The judges reach their conclusions after examining the corporate policy of the various companies and consulting their employees.

The main European competition is preceded by local competitions in each of the countries participating. Here in Greece, this was organized by the Athens Laboratory of Business Administration (ALBA), and Τitan was ranked among the ten top companies.

This distinction is an acknowledgement of long-standing Company policies: ensuring working conditions which meet the highest specifications; creating a working environment of security and trust; recruiting talented young people; providing ongoing training for all employees; offering ample opportunities for career development and promotion. Titan’s concern for the welfare of its people has always been evident in the many ground-breaking initiatives and commitments we have made in the area of environmental protection, accident prevention and special benefits for our employees and their families – many of these initiated long before measures of this kind were required by legislation.
