The Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) undertaken related to the Antea project has several components related to ensuring the following issues:

• All potential environmental and social impacts have been taken into account and appropriately addressed where they are reasonably foreseeable
• The proposed development is environmentally and socially sound and sustainable in light of the potential environmental and social impacts, and
• Appropriate public consultation of the project and its impacts has been undertaken for a minimum period of 60 days. (End of May 2008)
